The clinical record lies at the heart of healthcare delivery. For decades, Israel has been a global leader in health digitization, having implemented electronic health records nearly 30 years ago. However, in recent years, it has become clear that the world is moving ahead—adopting advanced, interoperable platforms that enable cutting-edge technologies such as AI. To keep pace and unlock these innovations, Israel’s health system must transition to more advanced platforms. This transformation will have a profound impact on all stakeholders—patients, providers, startups, clinicians, and technologists.

In this panel, we will explore the opportunities and risks of this shift and discuss how different players should prepare for the journey ahead.
